It looks as though the FBI is back to using J Edgar Hoover 1960's-70's style tactics against war protesters. The FBI has been spying on anti-war groups. They have been tracking members and meetings. They have been studying the methods and tactics the protesters use in their marches. Moreover, the FBI has infiltrated anti-war groups. But that's not the best part: The FBI has been putting anti-war protesters on the government "no-fly" lists. If you are on the "no-fly" list, you cannot travel by commercial airliner at all anywhere in the country. This is incredibly dirty. :| I can't believe even a Republican Administration could do such things. Call your Federal representatives and protest this practice.

First of all, your link is broken: This one works

Second of all:

F.B.I. officials said in interviews that the intelligence-gathering effort was aimed at identifying anarchists and "extremist elements" plotting violence, not at monitoring the political speech of law-abiding protesters

Sort of like how the patriot act is aimed at terrorists. When it comes to the government, the problem is too many people aren't paranoid enough.

Good, maybe they'll drag away all the Anti-abortion protesters.

I'm sick of being forced to look at dead fetus pictures while I was running in the Sun Trust marathon. They strategically do it on the entire route and in front of and behind the water people. Well, it makes it harder for me to keep the water down.

The government "no-fly" list was supposed to be used against terrorists. Now the Justice Department and the FBI have misused their new powers to include anyone who participates in war protests against the government. If any American citizen leads an anti-war rally enough times to catch the attention of the FBI, there is now a good chance that person will be placed on the government's "no-fly" list. This would make it very difficult to conduct anti-war rallies in D.C., which is (I assume) the objective of these new FBI tactics.
