Fax - Phone - 1 line

Recently picked up a fax machine but also have a phone with answering machine as a seperate unit, is there any way i can have it so the fax picks up when its a fax and the phone picks up when its a voice call.

Was wondering how to automate this so i dont have to turn the fax machine on and off each time.
