We are trying to get fax-modems to work in W2K. Basically the problem is this:
you can only have two fax-modems in the system. What those modems are are determined when you install the modems. First two modems that you install become available for faxing, the rest will not. The only way to choose different modems after you have installed them is to un-install the modem and re-install in correct order (so the first two become available for faxing). Now, is there a better way for this? Uninstalling and re-installing is just too much of a hassle! Honestly, it seems like they had bunch of braindeads designing this thing!
In our case, we have several modems in the system. The regular lucent Winmodem, Bluetooth and Nokia 6310 cell-phone in several configurations (Cable, Bluetooth, IR).
