Does anyone know the diffe.rence between a ribbon transfer and a thermal transfer fax machine? I know the ribbon transfer's letters by a ribbon sort of like a typewriter and thermal uses heat but which one has better text quality?

I think I also saw somewhere that ribbons jam up quite often. Anyone have any experience with this? I will not be using it for a business just a fax maybe a couple times a month but the printing needs to good Thanks

Neither, get a laser printer one.
The ribbon ones are a pain in the arse to deal with. And I don't know where youa re going to find Thermal fax paper anymore.

I don't know about print quality, but thermal paper sucks. It's the same stuff they use for cash register receipts.
