2WIRE Wireless Gateway

It's a little expensive but it's the best damned piece of hardware I've ever seen. It does have some problems with VPN as it has a stateful packet inspection firewall. The wireless is kickass too.

Get the new NEC ND-3540A or Pioneer DVR-109

Which forum, general hardware?? I do do my research. I'd like to have a 2nd opinion though.

I don't think the 3540A is worth the $15 difference since the only different is read/write speeds on the DL discs, no? The DVR-109 has its advantages but there is a $10 difference including shipping. I would have bought it if it was 49.99 with .99c shipping like that deal a while ago.

The item I'm mainly focused on is the fax machine. I'm wondering if it's a good value.

For fax machine, get HP 4-in-1 series.

Keep that dvd burner.

For wireless router, get D-Link GamerLounge Wireless.

i wouldn't get the DVR-109 because of its slower CD speeds. plus i don't think i'll ever burn a DVD-R DL at 6x rather than the 4X that the 3520A does...

you can't go wrong with a linksys router

and for the fax it's pretty much all the same. staples have the sharp on sale like every week. i want to pick one up too.

If you do get that router, please bookmark this page and use it:

I've read too many posts about people killing their routers by bad firmware upgrades with that model. Read the forums, check out what version you have, etc.
