The caller ID says "Citibank F S B" 312-751-8490. It's called 4 times so far. I don't have a fax machine or a modem to answer the fax with. What should I do?

I usually bust out my fax and fax them a ton of gross pictures/huge text with the words STOP FAXING TO MY NUMBER repeatedly. Of course, you don't have a fax machine...

I've had the same problem on and off for a while now (though not with Citibank).

Call Citibank and tell them to f*ck off and stop calling you.

If that doesn't work, get a faxmodem, capture some of the faxes, call them again, and tell them to piss off or you'll sue them under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

I just remembered that my work laptop has a built in fax/modem. I just hooked it up, and if they call again I'll see what the fax says

if they call again just use your computer and fax them back a page to say "wrong number dimwits!"

I had the same thing happen, but to a cell phone I had with Sprint a while back. THAT SUCKED. The callerID info was blocked by them, so I could never figure out who it was. I guess I should have called Sprint about it (but I'm not sure what they could have done anyway). It finally stopped after like 3 months, but then I got rid of Sprint after that anyways (but not b/c of the fax calling).

I'm all good with T-Mobile now :)

That happened to me once and the mis-directed fax turned out to be a MAC machine repair schedule! They're lucky they sent it to me, somebody could probably have caused some good trouble with that information!
