Fax and RAS over the same line?

Now of course I know not at the same time. But is Windows2000 server smart enough to take faxes and RAS calls to the same modem? I was thinking about having a data line so that I could get faxes and so I could dial in while I am away from home (again, not at the same time). Will this just work or is it able to tell the difference and "send" it to the right software(using the built-in RAS and Fax services)?
