What is your favorite writing utensil for writing on paper? I prefer a .5mm mechanical pencil myself. The only problem with mechanical pencils is the erasers, they usually wear out quick. I guess I make a lot of mistakes..^_^

A really smooth-gliding ballpoint pen. The only ones I've found recently that I really like are some clicky models that we got made with our company logo on them. I hate writing on paper, and those things are a joy to use.

Any simple Bic ballpoint pen will do. I don't need anything more

If I could only have 1 thing to write with, it would be a wooden pencil, hand sharpened with my knife. Otherwise, I like a fountain pen for style, and feel, a .5mm mechanical pencil for work type stuff, and a ballpoint for permanent durability.

5mm is an awfully wide line; I'd think even a crayon would be more legible.

FWIW, I use an extra-fine gel tip for ink or a 0.7mm mechanical pencil.

Damn it, you took mine.

I'll be serious for one post.

I buy whatever pen I can find that has a big, squishy grip but not gel ink. Gel ink tends to leave trails for me and my hands are messed up, so I need the big squishy grip. My handwriting is bad enough, make me write with a Bic and it looks some type of secret Mayan code.
