Favorite websites suddenly not working?

Lately my computer's internet connection seems to be a bit chuggy. But its very hit and miss. Some of my most frequented websites don't work anymore. For example, anything from Teamxbox fails to load. However I know it still works because I've tried computers outside of the house.

I thought I had a virus so I ran Norton and Adaware and the system came back clean. The strange part is, my friend tried to connect his laptop through the wireless network and it wouldn't let him get to Teamxbox or any of the other problematic sites either.

Any thoughts?
 
try bypassing the router and plug your pc directly into the modem. it will require a reboot of the modem.

are you able to resolve teamxbox.com? try pinging teamxbox or any of the other problematic sites. if iteamxbox doesnt resolve to 216.35.123.102, try going to that ip manually.
