Favorite Website Builder/Template Website

Hi. My boss charged me with making his website for him.

I know the basic basics of HTML (Bold, Centering, Italics, Center, HTML Image Tags, etc) and my boss would like me to build a website for him. Since I only know the basics with HTML, I was wondering, what is everyone's favorite website builder?

I want to be able to implement some HTML for later usage, but want a large and flexible website builder that allows for many different options.

I was also wondering, whats the preferred website for website templates? Will the website builder allow me to insert these templates?

If there is a program out there that I could use (based on my knowledge), my boss will buy it. He said money is really no object for the software (if they make this type of software anyway, I remember hearing something a long time ago), as long as its creditable and worth it + meets his approval he'll pay for the software.

Sitecube for 15/mo seems kinda cool. Is anyone know of something nicer?

I like RVSiteBuilder.com which my web host offers for FREE.

For $53/yr I get 2GB disk space/40GB bandwidth, WHM/cPanel, Fantastico, RVSiteBuilder, RVSkins, Webmail and you can host up to 20 domains with this single account.

Seconded. Does your site require dynamic content? Because Drupal, Joomla and Mambo are pretty cool too. These aren't website builders but full PHP-scripted content management systems.

I think there are templates for Dreamweaver. I'm not sure, as I mostly just use notepad and html to create my own boring sites.

I'll find out and get back to you 🙂

Joomla is my favorite way to implementing a website right now. But for any decent themes you'll have to pay for them. Joomla itself is free AFAIK.

Do your own research then?

He said money is really no object

Or just hire a programmer.

they're not programmers. they're web developers

So I have:

Joomla
Talkspot
Geocities
Angelfire
Site2You
SiteCube

I'll give him those sites to check out + their offers.. I talked to him about Dreamweaver already. He thought it was a good idea, but asked me to do some more research on it. Do you guys think someone in my position would find learning Dreamweaver easy? Or is it a program that requires a lot of prior knowledge?
