Corn on the cob is great. I also like white corn cooked with french cut green beans.

Green beans cooked with crumbled bacon, a can of diced tomatoes, and onion. This doesn't sound that great, but try it.

unexpurg8d, your excellent taste shines through.

Asparagus is my fave, followed by spaghetti squash. I really love bok choy, too.

Time for lunch!

Navap,

Yes, unless you are a "Bush", broccolli is yummi.

I've been a weak vegetarian for the last 6 years... i eat fish, but no chicken, pork, beef, lamb, etc... So I've tried just about every type of vegetable, and only found one I can't stand... Pickled red beets *reeeettttccccchhhhhhhh*

Hey, I even like ochra... which I never had till I moved to the south. But 'sprouts, and asparagus, are my favorite.

Isla, you spaghetti squash gloater, I like that too. I can NOT find that darn stuff anywhere. :( I have a great recipe for cream of asparagus soup, but I make it in huge quantities so the price of asparagus has to go down to at least $1.99 before I get ambitious enough to go to all that work.

GF, would it be indelicate of me to mention Beano???? hehehehehehehehhehe All those raw veggies....:p

LOL unexpurg8d... Beano, a girl's best friend!

I just got back from the grocery store and the asparagus was 1.89, but it is from Peru so I have to really be careful about washing it for pesticides. Spaghetti squash is plentiful and .59 a pound.... Gosh, I wish I could ship you some!

Anyone like artichoke? I like it, but it is a hassle to deal with.

Ohhhhh.... I forgot EGGPLANT! I haven't made eggplant parmigiana in ages....

Damn, this is making me hungry. I could go for a nice plate of fresh corn on the cob, fresh cut green beans, broccoli with melted cheese, and some fresh mashed potatoes with gravy. MMMMMMMmmmmmmm.

That's it, Isla, adopt me. :p I LOVE eggplant parmigiana (note, had to cut and paste that, couldn't spell it to save my life ;) ) but I'm entirely too lazy to make it often. It's tough getting creative here 'cause the kids think pizza is a gourmet meal and anything ELSE gets poked around the plate while eyed suspiciously...sigh. Sheeesh, make a few "hmm, wonder what I'd spend your insurance money on" jokes and right away you're an evil poisoner...lol.
