How much for say your average 750ml bottle of cheapish Vodka?

IDK i dont drink that crap

Rum on the other hand is in the 20s for that vol

750s of Appleton 21 and Flor de Cana under 30 IIRC.
7 fathoms which is made on the island is in the 20s and is quite good

My favorite locations so far in this order:
1) Amalfi coast, Italy. Positano is my favorite spot of all, but then I'm biased since I became engaged to my wife there.
2) Cape Town, South Africa. Where else can you swim with the penguins, have the world's best wine and food, and be just a short hop to animal safaris?
3) Barcelona, Spain. Beautiful city with great side streets.
4) Jostedalsbreen glacier in Norway. Or even the whole fjord coast.
5) Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The falls are spectacular, but the activities nearby are better.
6) Rome, Italy. History, enough said.
7) Avignon area, France. The whole southern coast is great (except Nice, France which is crap). Marseille might just be the best city in France.

Countries I likely won't recommend going to (too boring, industrial, snobby, etc):
1) Japan
2) Germany
3) Sweden
4) Portugal

The places I want to see most:
1) Okavango delta, Botswana.
2) Faroe islands

Sounds very similar to our prices at Provincial Liquor Stores.

theres really no justifying nyc taxes, not even going to go there

i meant more in the context of caymans vs the rest of the carribbean. i will say they have one of the cleanest/nicest islands though.

I'm planning a trip to Key West for Fantasy Fest this year. Other then the week long party that is Fantasy Fest, I hope to sober up enough to get some diving in as well.

Been to the Amalfi coast but we just drove through quickly. We did the Cinque Terre instread which I think is almost just as nice. Agreed on Barcellona, fantastic city. Rome and Avignon as well!

IDK i havent been to any others. and i dont live in NYC even out in the boonies in western NY its the same. which is why I always stop in NH and stock up (no tax) when im in that area.

but yea the island is great. safe, clean, they speak english (always a +), friendly and all that. its only downside is that its very small.

For a true vacation, you need to learn absolutely nothing and ideally not even think the entire time.
I prefer the islands for this. I hit St Maarten a couple times in the Navy. It was OK but not vacation worthy. I think Bermuda is better.

Denali ... been once, want to go again more than any place else
Anchorage ... been once, want to go again
Cancun ... been once, would go again
Cozumel... been twice, would go again
New Orleans... been once, want to go again
Toronto... been once, would consider visiting again
Florida (been all over the state, it's nice in the gulf of mexico, but I prefer swimming in non salty water ....)

Sturgeon Bay, Wi.... maybe shouldn't consider this 100% a vacation as it's more or less a "weekend getaway", and I visit my grandmother and my uncle who live there... and it's about a 3-4 hour drive .... I go there as often as I can....

How long before the parks namesake are gone?

About another 10 years, though it is worth noting that this would likely have been the case with or without anthropogenic climate change. Glaciers had disappeared from the park since the end of the last ice age, until the start of the mini ice age beginning in the mid-16th century. They came back during that period, but then have receded since the mid-19th century, as the world began warming again.

The current warming is by FAR the fastest on record though, a couple of decades to hundred(s) of years vs thousands of years. And the evidence that it is anthropogenically caused is mounting year after year.

Haha. I wasn't going to argue global warming with you (all the evidence points to humans causing the earth's temperature to rise). I was merely pointing out that the glaciers in GNP are not a good indicator of that, as they were likely going away anyway (perhaps now a bit faster, but I don't pretend to know enough to quantify the difference).

Add Malaysia to Foods!!

I was in Langkawi years back but only for a few days and was with my parents. Wasn't really fun, mother was ill at the time.

As for the USA, the Northwest Coast is amazing, IMO.
I loved Oregon and northern California.
The Redwood Forest area is spectacular.
