Few electronic toys in the 1960's. I guess Garloo #1, and a bit later, "Johnny Seven". Toy guns for boys were big back then. Vietnam was going strong.
Toys that got the kids outside, playing together and getting exercise.
Days long gone...

The only links I can find are from ebay auctions.
Amazing these toys are still around.

Garloo:

Johnny Seven:

I think every kid in the neighborhood got a Johnny Seven that year.
Seven guns in one. What more could a kid want?

For the price collectors now sell these toys for, my mom should of bought a few hundred. Better investment than AT&T, back then.

Ps. Thought of more...
"Get Away Chase Game"
A car and track board. The mob chased by the FBI.

Had one of these too:

Ok, heres a real fucking blast. Verti-Bird. I had a few different versions of it as a kid. Really cool. Google it.
Forgot about them. Loved it. Would haul ass backwards.
If you saw how fast they came out, you would not LOL.

MotionMan
We couldn't have one but lawn darts were O.K. Guess the folks were going for the all or nothing injuries.

You had one too? Cool!

That thing would scare the shit out of my younger cousins.....GREAT fun! :)

I think my favorite stuff was my American Flyer train set-up.

I had a train-board/layout in the basement and every year on Christmas eve Satan would come and install new pieces.

Eventually an HO car track was integrated into the set-up.

Every time we got a new game system :)

Latest Atair system (had 2 or 3 versions IIRC)
NES
SNES
Genesis
Sega CD
Playstation 1
N64

Had a few old school Tandy computers thrown in there also that I'd load up on the huge 5 1/2" floppies stuff like Space Quest.

Legos
Transformers
Nintendo Games

Remember the green transformer that you put together from small ones in to a bigger one? My mom bought me like 3 of those, but she never got that you need all of them to make the giant robot, so as a kid, I I would play with just the leg and torso, hehe.

Atari 600XL computer. It's probably responsible for defining my life career in IT.

It would be a tie between the Ghostbuster's Firehouse or Thundercat Lair. Probably the latter, because it had lights and sounds.

Later on, some of the big Lego sets I got like the electric train or monorail.

Atari 2600, hands-down the most awesome XMas present ever. My brother still has it, complete with about 20 games, collecting dust in his basement. Wonder what it's worth?
