I was talking with a couple of my friends, and to my surprise the trend seemed to be we each had our own favorite songs. There weren't really a set group of songs that stood out as favorites for all of us.

What about you guys and gals, what are your favorite songs by Tool?

that's actually one of my least favorite.

lateralus is my favorite song ever from any band, my 2 runner-up favorites would have to be third eye and stinkfist
 
Lateralis, Push It, Aenema, Sober, Parabol/Parabola, Stinkfist

Those are the standouts that I have on a Tool mix cd. The rest of the songs are all great too....

Honorable mention to the carrot song 😀
 
Hooker with a Penis, Prision Sex, and Parabola.

I really like HWAP. So much anger, so much truth. Very cool song.

i dont know if i could pick one...Sober and Prison Sex def. made me a fan...

but i like all of them...just about everything on LATERALUS can be up there

The Grudge

I first heard Sober in the summer before going to high school on MTV. It RULED then, and it still RULES now. You all need to see them play it live... Their current rendition takes sound elements from Lateralus (the album) and mixes them in the song. It is quite impressive.

I will say asking a question like "Favorite Tool Song?" is like asking what my favorite sexual position is... I have a favorite, but I enjoy them all.

Good call... afterwards go pick up the rest of their discography. Tool is an all-time great band.

After listening to my narrowed list, I think I'm gonna have to go with Stink Fist as my all time favorite.
