Wasn't sure where to post this, so I put it here because I frequent this section of the forum plus mobile is a huge part of tech sites these days.

Curious what sites others love and hate with respect to tech coverage.

Here are my tech bookmarks with thoughts on each.

ENGADGET - Solid site but took a huge hit when Josh and others left for The Verge. I still read all their reviews for devices I'm interested in, but my love for them has faded over time.

GIZMODO - I hate this site. I honestly don't know why I still have it as a bookmark. Maybe because I love to hate them. I actually liked Gizmodo back in 2008 or around that time. But they have just gone to shit in that time.

DARING FIREBALL - The only blog I read. I actually get really tired of Gruber's constant defense of Apple but I respect him and for the most part thing he's a really bright guy. His podcast leaves a lot to be desired though.

THE VERGE - My favorite tech site. Their UI shook up the tech site game. I'm a huge Topolsky fan. Their video work is incredible. Vergecast is really the only tech podcast I truly enjoy. Their Mobile podcast team however is pretty mediocre.

CNET - Their site is a bloated mess but they seem to cover everything. Still worth a read but they would benefit from the mantra less is more.

GIGAOM - I don't read it everyday but I do think it's worth a look a few times a week.

WIRED - I think Wired kinda sucks. Perhaps their topic choices just don't appeal to me. I'm not saying anything about their influential magazine because I don't read it.

ANANDTECH - This site sucks. Just kidding. It rules. I tend to only frequent it for reviews but it's probably worthy of a daily visit. Some of my favorite writing and the reviews are probably the gold standard.

ARS TECHNICA - I tend to really like their writers. They have a great staff. In terms of layout they are a close 2nd to The Verge.

ALLTHINGSD - I actually like their mobile site on my iPhone more than their desktop site on my work/home computer. Mossberg is a bore but his reviews are solid.

DAVID POGUE - I've bookmarked his page on NYT versus just the tech section of the paper. Pogue doesn't write enough IMO. I do like his reviews a great deal.

THE SETUP - Not for tech news but it is an interesting read. Sometimes I learn about products off my radar from these interviews.

DISPLAYBLOG - Great focus on display tech.

GDGT - Amazing resource for professional reviews.

BGR - I hate their writing. Especially editorials. But a harmless tech bookmark.

Because I'm interested in a phablet I've started to frequent Android Authority, Android Central, and Android Police.

I'm a big fan of Apple so I read AppleInsider, Mac Rumors, and 9to5 Mac daily.

Curious what others read or think about these sites or others.

Anandtech is my favorite just because it was the first tech site I ever discovered, and for the most part their reviews are solid. Lately though I've become more and more a fan of The Verge reviews, the layout and everything just looks so much more modern than other sites. Also AT is really lacking on the Android front.

I read:

Anandtech
The Verge
Engadget
Android Central
XDA

And that's about it.

Yeah I forgot to mention XDA. A very important site with a different focus. Their forums are invaluable to many.

I also forgot to mention Pocket-Lint, but I only tend to read it for reviews.

I hate the Verge UI, and every week or so they put out a piece that reminds you that Kos is on their board. A lot of good coverage mixed in, though.

Android Police is the most reliable Android news source.
