The Evo sells for $35k MSRP, base. Not exactly a budget-friendly car for everyone. The used market is fraught with high prices and abused cars because it's so narrowly targeted at the racing/sports car crowd and is usually in high demand.

That article is from March 2011. They said there'd never be a 2012 Evo, then 2013, now 2014's are on the lots... The Evo is alive and well and rumors are it will be a performance hybrid in the next 3 years.

Performance hybrid? Could be totally awesome... we shall see.
