SSSnail's thread as inspired this one. Almost everyone seems to be radically against any modern music, so this should be interesting. I don't have one off the top of my head, though I shall contribute at some point.

Song has to have been made/released either this year or last year.

Crap, I forgot about the Ghosts album. No particular tune, but I really liked it as a whole. I'm not a NIN fan, but that album clicked with me.

Cool. I'm a recent convert to NIN but I haven't listened to this album yet - I'll make sure to pick it up.

You may not like it. I'd describe it as heavy ambient. You can download the first album free, and it's not against the license to download the whole thing. I read about it on ARS, and went to Pirate Bay to download the first disc. The first couple of links were for all 4, so that's what I downloaded. After listening, I went to their site, and payed my $5 for the whole thing(a great bargain), and you get a choice of Flac, or mp3(maybe Apple, but I'm not interested in that).

O3 Trilogy, Pt 2 (2007) and Pt 3 (2008) by Dominici are very good. Fans of Prog Metal should enjoy, and Dream Theater fans should know who Charlie Dominici is... ;)

Systematic Chaos by Dream Theater and Snakes & Arrows by Rush were decent, not great.
