what are some of his best short stories? i've always liked the cask of amontillado.. looking for some other ones to read and write about..

The Fall of The House of Usher is his best by far. Read it in the early morning around 3:00 in dim light alone at night when you are cramming for an english test. It'll give you the chills.
As for the most violent or gruesome The Black Cat is probably your best bet.
Also (I think it is the Masque of Red Death) the one where that cloud sweeps over the castle killing everyone is pretty good. Cask of Amontillado is pretty good, but far from my favorite. And, The Raven is one of Poe's poems, not short stories. He wrote both types and had different philosphies for both.
