I'm a Final Fantasy man myself. Favorite is 7. I also like the Chrono's... I've played others, but favorite will remain FF7.

Any game using the Infinity engine from BioWare/Black Isle... Icewind Dale I, II, Baldur's Gate I, II, and all expansions.

Planescape: Torment > *

However, there are plenty of other good ones. Baldurs Gate series, Final Fantasy (my favorite was 7), Chrono Trigger, etc.

Gothic series: I cant wait for part 3 and hope when it comes out here in the US it will get more attention.
Planescape: Torment: Not a big D&D fan, but I just loved the setting, characters and writing.
Anachronox
Phantasy Star 1, 2 and 4 (3 is not so good)
Final Fantasy 2 and 3
Morrowind: I'm totally excited about Oblivion..looks incredible and I hope it turns out great.

The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Tales of Symphonia

FF6 has to be my all time favorite followed closely by chrono trigger. Best PC rpg was Baldur Gate 2 then fallout 2.

uh

one of my all time fav is secret of mana. somehow i always quit right before an ending of a RPG tho.

Did anyone ever play Legend of Legaia? I remember this game from a while ago on PSX and how many times I rented it because my PSX's memory slots didn't work ^^ Also, the games brought up here are also some of my favorites that have been forgotten. Fallout (Great games), the Zelda's, Elder Scrolls was awesome too, keep this thread going, could get some nice game ideas out of this ^^

Ultima Underworld 1 + 2. I liked the second one the best though. Ultima Underworld II was truly groundbreaking for RPGs at the time, IMHO.

More modern, Baldurs Gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, Fallout 1 and 2 and Planescape: Torment

Classics: The Wizardry, Bard's Tale, Ultima and Might & Magic series.
