Without a doubt George Washington. Sadly people today don't seem to realize the integrity it took to avoid the typical reign of tyranny that has followed almost every other successful revolution. George Washington could have made the presidency an almost royal office but instead took power reluctantly and voluntarily gave up the office after just 2 terms.
