bittorrrent is the best as far as no spyware IMO.....but I don't use BT++ either. It's hard as hell to find links for stuff, but I mainly just use it for TV Shows.
Emule works good too, but it's rife with spyware, and I only load it on my vmware'd machine, but I don't use it much anymore.
Other then that......dc++ is nice if you have a hub or two you know so you and your buddies can share files. I used to do that w/ MP3s, but I only listen to what I rip myself now, so I don't even use that anymore.
