Hey I have some left over student loan money that it doesn't look like I'll be needing this semester. While I have it at 4% I thought I'd try to make some money off it which may be dumb 😀 Anyway I'm looking for a good online brokerage firm. I'll be opening my account with 500 to 1k. I don't plan on turning it into a ton of trades day trader type thing, but I would like some low order fees. Any suggestions? Ameritrade's fees are nice but 2k minimum for a cash account 🙁
 
I wish Canada had some good online brokers that let us trade both US and Cdn shares. I use eNorthern, but at 1.5% commission on each side (for shares under $2), it can get expensive to day trade.

I'm still up 20% this year mind you. 😀
