I rediscovered the joys of nes, snes, and genesis. but I'm starting to get sick of playing mario 3 battle mode for hours a day with my roommate and need some new fun and addicting games to play instead. What's yooour favorite? 😕

A few good ones:

NES - Bubble Bobble, Bomberman, Gauntlet
SNES - Street Fighter 2, Super Mario Kart, Super Probotector (Contra in the USA, IIRC)
Megadrive - Road Rash 2, Sonic 3, Streets Of Rage 2

i came here to say just that!!!

when i was 9 or 10 i had that, and my 5 year old brother loved to play it with me.

but, i always used the punt block, so he couldnt score since it blocks ALL plays....and i always took passing plays to score in a couple of downs.

after a couple of weeks he went crying to my mom because the pwnage was so sinister.

Tetris Attack SNES
Any sports game like hockey, football, basketball, etc. on Genesis
Street Fighter 2 Turbo SNES
Super Mario Kart SNES

 Love that game, never bought a copy, but I rented it a lot.

Genesis: Sonic I and II, Eternal Champions, Mortal Kombat- unlike SNES, had blood instead of sweat
SNES: Legend of Zelda, Link to the Past, Act Raiser, Final Fantasy II, III, SF3 SF2/Turbo
NES: Final Fantasy, Mega Man II and III, Dragon Warrior, Castlevania II, Crystalis - one of my favorite games ever, Metal Gear

😱 Missed the multiplayer part of the thread, somehow. Bolded actual multiplayer games

* to refer to a later post, Contra games are two player, you can player simultaneously. My brother and I played Contra I and III together all the time.

I highly enjoyed Quake 3 for Dreamcast. While the controls took some time to get used to, once everyone was used to the controls, it was a blast. Three friend and myself would spend hours fraggin into the night.
