I remember reading in Anandtech's guide to watch out for retailers with poor return policies (X dead pixels or less). What retailers do you all recommend buying from, both online or B&M? Currently, I'm looking at an NEC 1760NX-BK, but am open to suggestions for 16ms monitors. Thanks.
 
Dell or monitorsdirect.com both have a nice return policy.
I got my 1800fp from dell, but I didn't have to return it because I got lucky with no dead pixels.
 
1) I would recommend NewEgg, great service, always.
2) My solution for your 16ms monitor would be a Viewsonic VP171b, I have one and it performs beyond all expectations. Do a forum search and watch the plethora of information pop up for it. 🙂

The 1760NX is very nice. It and the Viewsonic VP171B use the same 16ms AU LCD panel. The Viewsonic has the vertical pivot feature, but costs ~ $100 more ($499 vs $399 @ Newegg).
