AndeeG,
. The "pyramid-shaped" key layout is supposed to be an ergonomic feature to help with RSD/RSI/CTS.

The slant is there in _all_ keyboards, to the left only.

What the A4Tech does is a sad attempt at copying what the SmartBoard gives you - keys angled the right way round for either hand. The SmartBoard arranges the actual keyswitches ergonomically correct, while the A4Tech just uses slanted keycaps while the keys themselves still are in off positions, affecting the left hand in particular.

Try it - position your hands on ASDF JKL; Now move your left middle finger straight up. Where are you? Right /between/ E and R. On the SmartBoard, you're spot on E.

Ahh...Do you often wake up realizing you mistakeingly stomped your keyboard on your desk? Hehe...Unless you've got a leet floor cushion setup but I imagine that'd be hard on the back 🙂

I use a trashy gateway standard keyboard. It's not trashy persay, but extremely loud, dirty, and clashes with my new items 🙂 I'm getting the Saitek Eclipse (original)

I don't understand why only a few new keyboards today have USB ports. It's very useful, especially for plugging in the mouse.

QFT, I'm looking for one atm and it's hard to find one which ticks all the boxes on my checklist, i.e. keys in the right place, no fancy crap...

SmartBoard has two USB ports (actually a hub) and a hotkey for power off or sleep along the front edge.
