Favorites moments in the Olympics so car?

Hard to say, but I like when the mens 4*100 melody relay smached the world record and took the gold.

When that girl from phoenix (wahoo) made a major upset and took gold in the breast stroke(?) I think.

When the US took gold in the 10M platform dive today. That girl was soo emotional, I was very happy for her unbelievable accomplishment.

The women's 4 x 100 medley relay team dropped 3 seconds off the world record. The word record was 4:01+ and they went 3:58+. That is really cooking. Quite a few college men's teams could not beat that time!

The men's 4 x 100 medley relay team also set a world record, but the drop was slight in comparison.

If we need a nod, the nod goes to the women.

Other great performances: the women's softball team coming back from a spate of dreadful play to make the finals and Andy Nothstein's win in cycling.

Adul: That was 16 year old Megan Quann.

Well, being a Brit, I have to say my favourite moment was when the coxless fours won the 2000m rowing gold, giving Steven Redgrave his 5th consecutive gold medal in 5 olymic games. We don't win much compared to the USA, but that just makes winning all the more sweet :)

SnowPatrol:

That WAS awesome! Afterwards, Redgrave said something like: "If anyone sees me go near a rowing shell they have permission to shoot me." He is a stud for sure. Rowing is an extremely demanding sport. Certainly one of the few sports better for overall conditioning than swimming. If I weren't such a great fan of swimming I'd agree with you. Frankly, I forgot about it.

My favorite moment was when the NBC reporter did a belly flop off of the 10 metre platform, and got a black eye he hit the water so hard.

I dunno why, but I really really liked seeing the Japanese woman win the marathon. It was cool when with like 5 miles to go she just threw down her sunglasses and from there on she was unstoppable.

When she gets back to Japan she is probably going to be a MEGA star.

chess9 - the funny thing is, he said that last time! (four years ago). But I guess he just couldn't resist coming back for more. I wouldn't bet against him being there in four years for the sixth :D

My favorite moment so far was watching the Brasilian womens volleyball team. They were real nice to look at. I think I need to start watching the olympics more.

Our baseball team winning was pretty impressive also. They don't have a very good record against the Cubans, so the win is special.
