I'm ok paying a buck or two for a game, but generally they aren't worth more than that. Some that I've liked a lot have been:

Army of Darkness (free)
Medieval (can't remember price)
Infinity Blade (get it for no more than $2 when price goes down)
Orc Vengeance (can't remember, but was cheap)
The Room (cheap)
Bridge Builder (cheap)

I'd recommend Ghost Trick. It's a port of a DS game, but well worth the $10 for the full game. You can play the first few chapters for free to see if you'd like the game, so you can try it out before committing to it.

I'm also interested to see how Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition turns out as well as I'd like to see more full-length games released on tablets.

Latest is Bastion - outstanding port of an outstanding Xbox game

I've been curious as to how well that port works on iOS as I played Bastion on the PC with a 360 controller. I've been tempted to get it for iOS to support the devs. Maybe I'll do that if it goes on sale or something! 🙂

They made Bastion a bit more casual. Appropriately so for an iOS game. You automatically attack. You can also play in the more classic mode with on-screen buttons, apparently. Haven't tried it in that mode.

I really like "Wheres my Water?". It seemed silly at first but I just kept playing and playing.

Yes, this one is seriously well reviewed. I am still too cheap to have bought it, but I will.

Just looked up Bastion, looks pretty good.
so its 5 bucks for one episode? How much are the in-app purchases for other episodes?

I just checked the app store, and they're $5 each or $15 combined.

I'd probably recommend waiting until around Christmas time when a lot of games go on sale. Telltale does normally have sales for their games, and I would assume that The Walking Dead would receive a discount as well. Although, I looked into the price history for the game, and I don't know if I would be too terribly optimistic. Back to the Future: Episode 5 saw numerous price drops between its release in July 2011 and December 2011, but The Walking Dead, which was released in July 2012, has not seen any. However, based on looking at pricing for numerous Telltale titles, it looks like their sale started on the 15th last year.

So, you may want to wait a little bit for a sale to kick in. In-app purchase prices can change temporarily (i.e. for a sale), so that would be worth waiting for as well.

right! the right time to purchase items or games on sale is this holidays..im really waiting for my <Spam> item sale..

There is not really a spot for mobile games, this thread kind of gets lost in the mobile threads.

Would prefer to just see it here.

Junk Jack is probably my favorite iPad game and has been for months now, so it has some staying power. I had high hopes for Baldurs Gate:EE but the interface is so bad right now I am going to shelve it until patched.

There is an RPG called Aralon that recently went free. Playing as first person it's not bad, I put maybe an hour into it. It's no skyrim, but it's well done.

I played the first episode of walking dead. It's good, but I'm not sure I want to pay another $15-20 for the rest of it. Seems just a bit steep.
