Favorite films released before your birth

Here's a different twist on the favorite films thread. Pick your top 3 favorite films released before the year of your birth. I'll start with mine:

1. Arsenic and Old Lace (1944)
2. Roman Holiday (1953)
3. Bringing Up Baby (1938)

You really like Cary Grant, don't you? I like Audrey Hepburn as well. I think mine would be (in no particular order):

1) The Red Shoes
2) Rear Window
3) Star Wars
4) Les Diaboliques
5) Two for the Road

Yes, Cary Grant is good. Star Wars isn't a legal pick for me. Diabolique and Rear Window were decent (Jimmy Stewart is good too); I haven't seen the other two.

1. Twelve angry men
2. The Great Escape
3. Trouble with Harry

4. Great Train Robbery (not sure about this one, I was born in '79)
5. Young Frankenstein (see above)
6. Caligula
7. Ben Hur
8. Roots
9. Shogun
10. Airplane!
11. Psycho
12. Episode 4
13. Arsenic and Old Lace

EDIT: History of the world (part 1)
Support your local sheriff
Paint your wagon

EDIT 2: 2001
Alien (if it came out before May)

EDIT 3: The old Pink Panthers

I am going to half follow the rules:

Transformers: The Movie (1986, before DOB, same year).
Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Life of Brian (1979)

The only good movies that came out before my birth were Raiders of the Lost Ark and the first 2 Star Trek movies.

KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

I think you mean The First Great Train Robbery, The Great Train Robbery came out in 1903 🙂

Star Wars - '77
White Christmas - '54
The Thomas Crown Affair - '68
Jaws - '75
Logan's Run - '76

Apocalypse now and Alien just missed it, year too late.
