so i just finished reading nymphomation by jeff noon, GREAT book. enjoyed it even more than vurt. i've also read a bunch of steve aylett's books recently, as well as neuromancer (william gibson) and snow crash (neal stephenson). all great books, and i've got a bunch more of noon's books on order as well as a few of aylett's left to read.

so who are your favorite 'cyberpunk' authors? i'm always looking for new authors. i've read everything by chuck palahniuk i can find so i've had to start branching out to new stuff, so please share. it doesn't HAVE to be of this genre but this seems to be what i'm drawn to lately (altho i'm also reading friday night lights, a little bit different eh?).

I hever cared for the cyberpunk stuff. though i have read a few. Robinson err can't think of any others now my mind went blank. to much beer!

Still haven't found anything to compare with Gibson's early work. Cryptinomicon was good, but not really cyberpunk. Snow Crash was cyber punk, but not very good IMO.

i loved snow crash. read it straight through. i was hoping for more from him along that vein but that seems to be one of a kind. cryptonomicon is intimidating at almost 1000 pages!
