Favorite Children's Show?

and now for something completely different...

We all watched Children's Shows growing up... I don't mean cartoons, I mean children's programming. From The Mickey Mouse Club to Zoom to The Big Blue Marble, there was something for everyone! Even a show to help you learn Spanish... Villa Allegra!

Which ones do you remember?

I was partial to The Electric Company because of Spider Man and the ever lovely Rita Moreno. I also loved the shadowed profiles that would come together to make words...

Face 1 "Ch ch ch ch ch"
Face 2 "aiiiiin"
Face 1 and 2 "Chain!"

The show I disliked the most was the All New Zoo Revue. Blech.

Pee Wee's Playhouse! Of course, it's gone now......but that was one funny show! (one funny guy too!)

I get umpteenmillion channels with DirecTV and I.....I mean my kids can't find it anywhere! LOL!

Sesame Street: yes
Mr Rodgers: some
Capt Kangaroo: A lot.

Of course my mother made me watch "As the World Turns" and "The Mike Douglas Show" from time to time.

What about Gilligan's Island, Leave It To Beaver, Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show, The Lone Ranger, I could go on & on! It S*cked having tonsilitis all the time when I was a kid!

I was a Mr. Roger's Neighborhood boy myself... Fred Rogers is the COOLEST. I used to like to sing along with all the songs.

"Won't you please? Won't you please? Please won't you be, my neighbor..."

Also liked 3-2-1 Contact, Electric Company, and Sesame Street.

When I was older I became a Nickelodeon fanatic. Anyone remember the game show &quot;Double Dare&quot; and Mr. Wizard and &quot;You Can't Do That On Television&quot;<---LOVED that show!!!

Also, they had the Bloodhound Gang on there!
