Anyone on the far NW side of Chicago: try Colletti's on Central and Elston for some great thin crust. Been going there since i was a baby.

Thanks, just moved into an apartment near Montrose and Pulaski. I can take Elston straight up there, and I have a good friend who lives right by there (Manton & Miltimore).

I used to live near there 10 years ago...out in the burbs now though.

I was in Chicago and tried Giordanos. I must've gotten a bad one, or else I just don't get the allure of a good Chicago pizza. The crust tasted like bran flakes, the sauce was weak, and the meats were nothing special. Granted, the box was impressive when it was delivered to my hotel (heavy as a cinder block), but the taste was lacking. Ordered a Pizza Hut stuffed crust the next night and was satisfied.

I guess it's like eating mayo on french fries; if you're not raised on it, but normally eat ketchup on them, it's hard to see the appeal.

Near where, my place or my friend's? I came here from the burbs incidentally, I lived in Oak Park for seven years.

now you got me all hungry for Gino's I had Gioradano's last week. Duo's is pretty good. Lou's is also pretty good. I just can't pick.
