Franzia.

If you are trying to impress someone with a glass bottle, Sutterhome Sweet Red.

Isn't Franzia boxed? I saw the sutterhome today, didn't know anything about it. We have Oliver soft red wine here, that's my favorite.

You didn't say anything about boxed or not. Franzia is boxed.

Livingston Red Rose. A cheap table wine that is actually easy on the taste buds especially if you aren't accustomed to the taste of wine. It's relatively inexpensive to which is nice for some just getting into the world of wine.

Barefoot sweet red moscato is about $9 a bottle here in Utah so it should go for around $6 everywhere else.

Banyuls is a great dessert wine. I think some of them aren't much over $10. Some of the inexpensive Australian Tawny Ports are really good for little over $10.

Those are fortified wines so are fairly strong as far as alcohol goes. For a low alcohol choice, http://www.quadywinery.com/redelectra.html

Eugh, this thread makes my skin crawl.

Actual decent sweet red: McNab Ridge Carisma.

Sweet Syrah done frizzante style, good for sipping on a hot summer day or making the base for a GREAT sangria. $12 a bottle but you won't find it at a grocery store.

If its decent I don't really care. But I think most people say that stuff is bad. I dunno. It'd take me forever to drink a box lol. I'm not a wine snob. At all. I could understand how this bothers some of you though (areacode707) :p.
Actually, from a truly logical standpoint, boxes are not a bad way to store wine that isn't intended to be aged. I was "ew"ing at Manischewitz and cheap white zin. :)

I've come across a few zin's w/ some residual sugar- don't think any are under $10 though.

Franzia will get you trashed before you know it and it's $9 a box here, so what's not to like?

Thirsty Owl: Tailspin. ~$10/bottle, less if you buy 3 or more bottles. Only sold in NY though they will ship to you depending on your location.
