Favorite BF2 Class?

If you could only pick one class to play for the rest of the games life, what would it be?

Mine would have to be anti-tank followed closely by spec ops then assault.

I just love the power of the DAO-12 in close range and the AT rocket seems to come in handy ALL THE TIME.

I'm still waiting to unlock the anti-tank gun, but currently the spec-ops gun is extremely accurate and powerful. That coupled with C4 for tanks and car bombs makes them my fave.

You just cant beat the david v goliath battle against the tanks. I spend all my time as anti tank and hold a 3-1 kill death ratio with that kit. Haha cocky little armour whores all feel my wrath

Yeah, when I am getting pissed off at all the troops I will go snipe with the spec ops. I have gotten REALLY good with the G36C. Just put it in semi-auto and tap..tap..tap.

I found a sweet spot on the map Sharqi Peninsula at the construction site (maybe the second floor of it). You can crouch looking out a window and you can just barely see the people on the roof of the chopper tower. I was actually talking people out with the G36C you just need to be patient and tap every couple seconds. The snipers have no clue where its coming from...

I actually think you should get extra points for talking out a tank...I mean it is a huge killing machine and you only get 2 points. (maybe 4 if there is a gunner)

I agree about extra points for taking out a tank. It many cases when I can get 1 rocket into the tank, I am usually dead by the tank shortly after that.

I play Medic mostly.. especially when I need some quick points.. like when some jacka** runs over some well placed mines and puts my score in the negative. Learn to drive...

I actually find all of the classes fun and useful in different situations. But if I had to pick-one, I would go with Spec-Ops. Good at long and short range.

One really satisfying thing is wen you kill someone and then you see a medic run in, let them revive and then slaughter them both. So great.

I love sniping but accuracy sucks for snipers in this game. I could be aimed right at a guys head just standing there and shoot and I will miss more then half of the time.

BTW, here's my 30 second manual for BF2.

Whenever you encounter the enemy, fire & tap the spacebar repeatedly until either you or him are dead.

Ignore friendly mines, artillery warnings and all radio messages. Better yet, play with sound ?OFF.?

All screen messages with the word ?forgive? can be removed by pressing the ?Page Down? key.

Kill you teammates for a seat on the helicopter.

Always drive off alone in a boat, truck or transport. Passengers are prohibited.

Become the Commander when you need to be away from your computer for more than 5 minutes.

Use of C4 is only permitted if you jump, aka ?bunny hop,? repeatedly and toss it into crowds of enemy troops and/or teammates.

I'm a fan of SpecOps and Assault for me. I really do like the G3 unlock but, like everyone else, wish it had a larger clip. And the n00b tube is certainly a useful tool I'll add.

The sniper unlock is really pathetic. If the accuracy was somewhat decent it might be worth using. As it is the basic M24 is the best for actual long range "sniping". Just aim for the head and 1 shot kill.

I started out playing anti-tank, even before I had any unlocks, and I haven't looked back. I think I play that class about 90% of the time.

I think it has to do with not wanting to run away when a tank shows up. I'd much rather know that I've got something to take it on with.

Of course, once I got the DAO, being AT was even more fun. I've always loved the sound of that sucker. Too bad it isn't quite as loud when you are on the receiving end of it.

I'll play special ops if I need an infantry class, and I'll switch to engineer whenever I see that assets need to be repaired.

I'm sorry but that's a clear violation of the rules.

The correct activity is ignore the game objectives, and bunny-hop around tossing C4 at people in an attempt to finally get your 'Explosives Expert" badge.

Same here, gotta love the idiots that punish because they can't see a huge skull above the ground. Most servers are full of morons, so I usually just use the mines if I am suicide mining a tank. I like to fly around the map with the USMC buggy trying to keep all the armor repaired and running over the Spec ops guys trying to C4 a tank. Sometimes I use the transport choppers for the same purpose...
