So.. I am a few episodes away from finishing Death Note... which I LOVED!
And I am wondering what series I should start watching next. So I loved Death Note and liked Cowboy Bebop a lot. Any suggestions?

I just fnished watching Afro Samurai. (5 episodes, plus movie). loved it.

THey're making a live action of it, starring Samual L. Jackson

i'm going thru withdrawl because Funimation 'shut down' Tokyo Toshokan last week or so...

i really do not have an all time favorite. pretty much just watch every thing every 'season'. my recent favorite is Nyan Koi, which is probably something you won't like.

You probably like bleach, a popular series.

i use this for reference to find anime to watch... i don't really agree with the list but it's decent to just find stuff.

http://myanimelist.net/topanime.php

hunter x hunter (epic)
monster
hajime no ippo (most satisfaction per episode)
claymore (up until like ep 20, then start reading the manga because they butchered the story for the next 6 eps to finish the series)

seirei no moribito was pretty good that flew under most ppl's radar

Paranoia Agent :)

I really dug Bleach, but it's hard for me to get into subbed episodes. 99% of the time, when I watch tv I'm multitasking. it's really difficult to find a long block of time where I can just sit and watch tv and read all the subtitles.

Full Metal Alchemist

Hits so many truths for an anime series and runs the gamut of emotions. Really well done characters and story.

Naruto would rank high on my list, but it's gone on too long with filler episodes. Haven't watched since episode 100 something of Shippuden.

A lot of other shows would fill out my "favorites" list (Bleach, Full Metal Panic, Kimi Ga, Death Note, Mai HiME, etc), but FMA is a notch above.

Claymore was good if you like dark fantasy.

Some other good ones:

RahXephon - serious drama with giant robots
Black Lagoon - John Woo style action
Gurren Lagann - over-the-top mecha action

Naruto is back on the actual story, like ep 112 is i wanna say it jumped back in and is still there now. The manga is better however going back and seeing it animated is nice

to the Op watch Cowboy Bebop

I loved the concept of Naruto but the filler episodes really killed it for me.

is the anime worth the $$? it seems like there's a couple hundred books.

Yeah, I planned on watching it again eventually, it's just that I periodically get annoyed with the series and take a break from watching it. Has happened several times over the past (200+ ?) episodes in both original series and current one.

Sasuke and Itachi finally... wow, didn't think it would happen for another hundred episodes, lol. I'll probably watch all the episodes I missed at once when I workout.

I remember watching 50 eps of the first series about a year after they first aired in Japan, and being so into the show that I was yelling out attacks in my sleep :D Same thing when I watched DBZ for the first time.

the first 50 eps or so of the first naruto series was great... then they just started butchering it with way too many flashbacks and filler to lengthen the series.

Hikaru No Go
Claymore
Hajime No Ippo

I just finished Claymore about 2 days ago. It sucks that it isn't being continued. I started to read the manga, but I don't think I'll keep up with it.

My favorite all time series was Kimi Ga Nozumu Eien.

Death Note is the greatest anime. Light is the most wickedly cunning villain in all the world. No one else even comes close. Everyone knows this.

Samurai Champloo

They are supposed to be releasing this on blu-ray soon I believe.

DBZ wasn't to bad. I like it from episode 80 through the end of DBZ.

Cowboy Bebop
Outlaw Star
Kenshin (stop watching after he fights Shishio Makoto)

Evangelion, Fullmetal Alchemist, Coyboy Bebop, Bleach, Inuyasha, FLCL....all may be worth trying, but may not be your thing.
