Favorite All Time Text Editor?

For *nix, nano is an easy answer because it's always there and it's simple and straightforward. The only command I remember about Vi(m) is :q!. Every time I braved myself in firing it up, those three keys are what I ultimately punched after a few seconds looking around :D

For GUI stuff I like TextWrangler for OSX and Notepad++ for Windows.

...actually, this list is starting to add up. hahaha It does end up being second nature though. I think it was the only editor available on the vax when I was in school.
