Favorite 5-10 rap songs ever?

I have about 150 songs from various rap artists (dr dre, snoop dogg, 2pac, dmx, etc.) but i'm looking for something new. I've downloaded a couple of Lil O and Juvenile songs but those sound too much like radio songs that get old quickly. My complete playlist is here

Can anyone recommend any songs not on that list or introduce me to an artist who has quality songs who I haven't listed? And please don't thread crap about how you hate rap... I never used to like it much but I've gotten into it the past couple of months and don't wish to change anytime soon. Thx

1) biggie smalls - juicy
2) run dmc - its tricky
3)rappers delight
4) snoop dogg - doggy dog world
5)snoop & dre - nutt'in but a G thing

most of this new crap sucks, and it is obvious to me that rap is falling somewhat. maybe by the way of the metal bands of the 80s.

how can you call yourself a rap fan and not have a least one run dmc song? get tricky and see what you think.

edit: not even any beastie boys? you haven't lived untill you've heard the plight of paul revere.

sorry, I'm a n00b when it comes to music and rap... I didn't even know 2pac was dead until after like the 15th song of his that I downloaded... never was interested in music early in my life but now i like it ;/

It's too hard for me to list my top five or ten. I simply cannot do that. Some songs that I noticed that weren't on your playlist that I like are Let me Ride by Dr. Dre and also Deeez Nuts and Natural Born Killaz w/Ice Cube. Saturday by Ludacris should be on your list, that's a good song of the moment. One of my favorites that you actually do have is Notorious Thugz. There are a bunch of good Outkast songs that you could use... let's see Skew it on the Bar-B, Rosa Parks, B.O.B., ATLiens, Wheelz of Steel.

That's about all I can do right now. I could put more down but I've taken too much time on this already.

Souls of Mischief - 93 til infinity
Gangstarr - the question remains
- Step into the arena
-dywck
- mass apeal (must have, for those whot don't know)

If you want some more let me know.

then i think we really need to give you some recomendations.

1)anything by the beastie boys

2) gotta have some run dmc (they made rap)

3) rappers delight. it started it all! one of the first real hits.

4)most of snoops best work came in his first album.

seems like you already got ur tupac fix

you need some more notorius B.I.G get juicy its my fave rap song of all time.

also, eminem is funny to listen too, but he can't rap.

NOWWWW, here's a little story, I gotta tell, about three bad brothers ya know so well. It started way back, in history, with Ad Rock, MCA, and me MIKE D!

I also love the new WuTang Song, Uzi (pinky ring). That's the ish.

Here's just a few (I'm sure I'll post a bunch more later):

Eminem - If I Get Locked Up Tonight
Busta Rhymes - Gimme Some More and Break Ya Neck
Sugar Hill Gang - 8th Wonder (thanks werk)
Dr. Octagon (Kool Keith) - Earth People
MOP - Ante Up
Stevie Hyper D (More of a Jungle MC than a "rapper")- Too Much, Too Little, Too Late (all of his stuff is good though - if you need help finding it, PM me)

really appreciate all ur recommendations, being on a 56k I'm just downloading the first meg or so of a song and seeing how I like the beginning before downloading the rest, and so far everything sounds good. Thx for helping out a n00b rap fan
