ok i did a fresh install of everything w/ a new radeon 8500le...during the windows installation process the colors on displayed looked normal and winxp installed ok. i turned off pc and an hour later turned it back on. even from POST the display was a funny shade...and now in windows its dim and slightly on the green side. wtf is wrong w/ this? is it a bad vid card?

btw i checked the monitor on another pc and it was perfect. been using default drivers off winxp cd....but tryin cat3's now

Have you tried a different monitor on the computer? It is most likley the monitor or one of its connecting components, like a cable.
Do you hear any high pitched noise from the monitor when it is green , also what kind of monitor is it?

well i've tried just about every combination....took out 8500 and put it in another system and it was fine...tried a different monitor (Mag innovision) on the pc and it was fine...but then i tried the original monitor (proview) on another pc again and this timne the picture is also blue/green tinted...funny an hour ago it was fine on the machine. i guess the problem is the monitor; this one was actually repaired bout month ago b/c it only displayed half of the screen, but i havent used it since b/c i picked up the Mag for 80 (as an interim monitor) and the repair was cheap too

thanx anywayz...time to b!tch @ the repair guys!

Can you adjust the monitors color thing. I'm not sure what it's called mine has a 9500K which looks blueish or 6500K setting.

I used to have a monitor that had a pin on the connector that I had to pull out flush with the other pins before I plugged it in. It worked fine when I plugged it in and hit the hole ok...........I just didn't use it for my bench set-up.
