Faulty Razer Diamond Back

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem. I already read the various threads on the forum about installing the drivers for the mouse. In the device manager most of the time you will just see HID compliant mouse (or something like that). It will still work in that state, but if you do the various installation methods you will eventually get the Razer Diamond Back mouse listed in the Device manager.

With that said, I do the installation method and it does say Razer DB mouse instead of the HID compliant in the device manager. But the mouse will stop working at times and the device manager will not say Razer anymore but HID compliant. I will have to either reboot (sometimes works, most of the time doesnt work) or reinstall the software to get it back to saying Razer.

So does anyone else have this problem of the mouse just giving out in the middle of a game, browsing internet etc or is it just me with a messed up mouse.

Three weeks with no problems.
I use the Razer program to adjust my sensitivity once in a while and thats it.
Its one of the few programs I'll let run in the backround.

Try two things...
1)Try the mouse on a different usb port
2)Use the beta drivers located here, I'm using the 5.0.01 and I haven't found any issues to speak of with it (the shipping driver wouldn't install for me and some others), but there is also a newer 5.0.02 listed which I haven't tried.

yea, i tried it on different ports. the same thing happened on my old computer and i thought it was my comp. then i just built me a new one and the same thing is happening. ill try the drivers u linked. hopefully that will work. thanks.

If they don't work send it back (heard reports like this due to faulty units before), Razer used to be pretty good about returns, don't know about now.
