Faulty Geforce 2 Pro

I purchased a Geforce 2 Pro from MSI (Microstar Starforce 8831) and I am having problems. When I play many direct3d games (Midtown Madness, etc) the screen is flashing, and polygons of various colors are appearing throughout the sky and the upper half of the screen. Now I have installed the latest Via 4in1 drivers, reformatted my system, tried Detonator 3, etc, but no matter what, I am getting this problem in both Windows 98 and Win2k Pro.:frown:

I called the tech support at Microstar, and they tried to help me in any way possible: I pulled out the other PCI cards and the extra RAM banks, but that didn't help. They thought that my card may be defective, but does anyone have any more suggestions before I try to get it replaced? Is the problem a common one?
