I've got a Venice 3000+ (E6) at the settings below.

It will idle at around 36C and under load it only raises by about 2 or 3 degrees. As a little test I unplugged the CPU fan (I know it doesn't sound like a good idea) and went into the BIOS and the temp slowly rose up to about 45C at which point I shut it down.

Do I have good enough flow that the temperature doesn't change much, or is the temperature probe partially gibbled?

Thanks in advance.

What is the ambient temp of the room your rig is located in Hand Ov DooM?

What is your CPU heatsink. If you have a HUGE heatsink, the temp will rise very slowly.

If you look at his sig, it's the stock fan.

My question - is the stock fan ramping up speed quickly to 6000rpm or whatever it's maximum is? I would have expected Idle to be a little cooler as well - mabe the fans running slow (or not at all) and then suddenly going full speed? Do you notice any sudden change in sound?
