Not really, he would if I was white though. He is the most overtly racist person here probably.

Your flabby pale ass ain't white?

I think the Diversity Police needs to be alerted about your assumed ethnicity there PDB....

I used to be big from about 15 years old all the way up till recent and am now doing something about it.. I'm losing about 2-3 pounds a week which to me is fantastic. I look in the mirror and I'm proud of myself. At 6'1" and 200lbs. at last weight check I got progress still to make.

Considering that I look a little skinnier than jinz and with much smaller arms, I think I'm going to continue leaving my shirt on for another 5-6 months considering the impression of this thread :(

Congrats man. Keep it going!

People are criticizing Jinz for other reasons it appears (namely stupidity). If you were to post a pic of your starting point and a pic of you now, I'd bet that the people who aren't douches would say "look at TCR, he is doing it. So can anybody else."

Also, college was like the Freshmen 15 etc... every single year due to college food and bulking.
Freshmen 15 is bullshit. Most people I know lost weight when they went to university. Your diet goes from eating McDicks whenever you want to eating only rice and only when you're passing out from low blood sugar. The food in the cafeteria is too expensive and we're too lazy to pack a lunch.

No kidding, my posting style can be dickish but that's just being blunt self-absorbed egotistical internet tough guy that I am. Really, I'm really nice in person! :awe:

Hey man don't sell yourself short. There is a market for short fat chubby bald dudes (not sure if you're bald), you just need to market yourself accordingly. ;)

Yeah, I don't think I'd ever post a picture of what I used to look like. I remember finding pictures of myself at 15, 16, etc. from family reunions and thinking to myself "Good God I was downright FAT and no one had the balls to tell me." I should have known for myself but for some reason (I honestly really can't remember), it never really *impressioned* me how big I was getting until I had a girlfriend. She never mentioned it either, but I remember flipping one day through pictures she had sent me and looking in the mirror (since it was beside me on my closet) and suddenly thinking "Holy crap, she deserves *way* better than this"

At that point I was about 235lbs. So I started researching and making a plan based around my impending college schedule and as soon as I came back to campus and put it into plan and have been doing so for 8 weeks now (2 months!). I knew it would be slow but 35 pounds in 2 months is better than I had planned (I had originally planned to lose at max 2 pounds a week).

I know that will slow as I get closer to my ideal weight (Around 175-180 and then start building up in muscle), but I hope I can succeed. I *hope* to be my target weight by January :)

Why are you making stuff up in your head? LOL... athlete... sorry, I have a 9-5 job and I'm taking grad exams... athlete lol...

You talk like you're an athlete...and well...you're far from it. You lost a little bit of weight, but you talk like you're some fitness trainer. You just work out casually, so don't act like you're hardcore.

everyone's perception of themselves is different.

my gf had the same problem as you. during her HS years (this was before i met her), she was a fatass. she said she looked in the mirror and didn't see herself as chubby. she wasn't outgrowing her clothes because she wore sweats a lot.
finally, her parents said something to her and it was like someone flicked on the light switch.
she cut down on the food intake and now she's managed to get her weight under control (5'5" 110#).
it's a good thing too because i saw pics of her when she was fat (130#) and she did not look good. the best part is, her boobs didn't get any smaller as a result of the weight loss.

me OTOH, i'm very aware of my physique and at any sign of weight gain, i will adjust my diet/workout accordingly.

well, no one has bigger arms than mjinz so i wouldn't worry about that.

When are you going to post a picture of your fat ass?

I think you need to back up all the annoying posts you make. Put up or shut up.

Nobody believes you have a girlfriend, so quit faking.

Considering MJinz acts like he's in better shape than everyone else, when clearly he's not, I'm gonna rip on him.

Be modest, work hard, and don't be a dick. You should be fine then.

I've gone through the hard work so I know what its like, but I never acted like a dick about it.

Good work, congrats. It's hard work and slow going but definitely worth it.

Haven't updated AT on my progress for awhile, so might as well use this opportunity. I'm 6'2'' and started at 210 lb, so I was never that big, but my appearance is much improved. And yes, I'm a huge nerd that plots my weight every morning:

captureneh.jpg

The gain was intentionally putting muscle on, obviously. Not sure how low I'm going to take this one before I bulk again. I want to get rid of every last bit of fat on my lower abs/love handles. It took me awhile to get into my groove with this second cut, but I've gotten going in the last few weeks.

genetics play a huge factor IMO. I work with a lady that stares at pictures of food all night and eats every 3 hours. lots of bad food.

I can go the whole night without getting hungry and actually will get sick looking at pictures of food.

big differences in people

Gotta love when people who don't gain weight judge those who do.

I have been skinny all my life, (gained a bit in my 30s and started weight lifting) and never had to starve myself. But I gotta tell you this, if your body wants food, it will drive you CRAZY until it gets it. There's no way to fool it, or distract it. It will consume ALL your thoughts. Now imagine having this overwhelming compulsion while surrounded by food everywhere you go, but you have to force yourself to not eat. Good fucking luck.

This is why 90+% of all diets fail.

Don't judge others until you've walked a mile in their shoes. (by then you'll be a mile away and they'll have no shoes :D )

Try cutting your calorie intake in half for a month. No cheating. Now imagine having to keep that up for the rest of your life. None of the skinny people will do this. They'd rather just judge others and think being skinny is all about will power... when it comes naturally to them and they've never had to go hungry while surrounded by food. Dumbasses.

I understand your initial comment. I'm sure plenty of naturally "skinny" people think it's easy to not be fight and probably don't understand the struggle some people go through with food.

However, there are plenty of us who must have discipline not to gain weight--I am one of those. If I ate what I wanted I would be a fatty like many others. I work in an office environment where probably 70-80% of the people are overweight. I see these people constantly drinking soda's and eating snacks all day and sitting in there desk and then don't exercise.

I guess in a way I feel justified thinking that fat people bring in on themselves by lack of discipline.

DP7... I think you are off a bit.

Some people are naturally skinny. I am skinny. I actually exercise to GAIN weight (I would be about 150 w/o the gym almost daily).

I know, any time I mention this I get reactions and everything I say is discounted.

But look at it this way, it is what you do and what you eat. When I was on 'roids after a surgery and I could not exercise, my appetite went UP. I could not do anything and I ate more. I actually gained 5 lbs in a month, and my BF% went up. 15 years later I have not been able to lose that little 1/4" of extra "skin" on my belly (I still have a washboard, but you used to be able to almost read through it before).

Our bodies were NEVER made to live on soda, chips and otehr junk. They were also not designed to remain seated 10-12 hours a day.

So DON'T DO IT! Any moderate level of activity and smart eating will keep you from becoming a fatty.

Will it mean you can compete in the next World Cup?

No.

But you won't be one of the "funny" people on Wipeout either.
