Fathers: What do you want for Christmas?

I want to get my dad something together with my mom this Christmas but I need some ideas so I can start looking around early.

Fathers at ATOT, what are you looking forward to? Obviously, since I'm 15, I'd like to keep this under $50 so no PDA's or anything that expensive. Also avoid computer related items because we have enough of those and I think he'll remember an item other than something for his computer like a stick of RAM or something he'll use.

Is there anything for a car under $50 you can reccomend? He bought a Lexus ES 330 recently and if there is anything small he could use whenever he drives it that would be nice... No, no car mods, more like accessories like how an IPod can use an adapter to hold it in place or something, only he doesn't use an Ipod.

If you're dad is like mine he wants something like one of the following:

Hunting Rifle
Solar Panels for Roof
Table Saw

Of course, none of these things are anywhere near being under $50 or affordable for anyone on a student's budget, so you're forced to try and guess something you think he might like. He inevitably doesn't like whatever you got him, and complains about it. I bought him a fvcking swiss army knife and he complained that it was black and I should have gotten a red one. He does this with every christmas gift.

You could get him a digital tire pressure gauge, cigarette lighter powered air compressor, Tire Minders or a roadside emergency kit for his car. Last Christmas I got my dad a set of Tire Miders and a digital tire pressure gauge.

Hmm... socks, that gives me an idea. I think I might get him a nice polo shirt, pant, or something. He loves polo clothing.

i just need some regular athletic socks, but i am pretty sure my mother-in-law is going to hook me up on those

i have some socks i wear that are at least ten years old

Well, my kids aren't old enough yet to make any kind of purchases yet, but when they do, I'd like anything that they get, if they got an awesome deal on it. Something along the lines of a 200GB harddrive for 20 bucks. Nothing would impress me more than them being able to stretch a dollar.

Peace and quiet.

OMFG- you totally hit the nail on the head there. I wish I could spend a day with my family and not have the kids crying or bickering about something for 75% of that day. Nice dream

I could use a gift certificate for a hooker! JK

I don't ask for anything for Christmas. My Christmas is considered good if my kids are happy. That is all I am concerned with since when I was a kid we didn't have much.
