Father runs over 19 month old daughter with backhoe

It's obvious that some of the posters in this thread have never had a 19month old child in their care. They have a supernatural ability to go and do whatever it is they wish to do. That's part of the reason why so many accidents occur to small children, despite the best efforts on the parents' parts to keep them out of trouble. 🙁

🙁 That is so sad. I feel bad for the guy. This could end up hurting their marriage, too. Life ruiner in more ways than one.

The damn parents are to blame for this.
Even having the remote possibility for the child to run to daddy while he using a piece of machinery that could cost as much as his motor home, the mom should have locked the door and kept close eye on her 19 month old.
The stupid ass parents should get sued and charged.

You don't have kids do you? Sued? By who, themselves? Charged, with what? What exactly is the point of further punishing the family?

well i agree charging them would be stupid. But they are to blame. well the mother is. She should have had the door locked. when big machinery is being operated yoiu need to keep a eye on them.

But but but... its the makers of the door, back-hoe, etc.. that are fault. just like if she had grown up it would be the bad teachers and bad schools that caused her to get bad grades, etc...
Can't you two idiots find another grave to piss on?

Seconded.

that's sad...surprised he didn't sue caterpillar though

These comments always come out when something like this happens. I refuse to believe it is the norm rather than the exception to sue in a case where you are clearly and entirely responsible for what happened. Yes it happens, but I don't believe it happens nearly as often as people make it seem.

what's a backhoe ?

I don't know what the figure is but children die from being backed over by cars in driveways many times a year... it's quite sad. Is a backhoe tall with restricted rear vision ?

that's heavy.

That's why he couldn't get stopped in time. This was clearly an accident, hopefully no charges will be filed.

🙁
