Just like the article says, he picked the wrong platform.
Intel is great for content creation and multitasking. But for a gamer, it's AMD all the way.
He'll switch for his next board.
I mean, Intel is great as a main rig for doing many things at once. It's lightning fast when switching windows, and you can leave the folding program running in the background.
But for a gaming rig, people want the highest benchmarks possible, and that's AMD.
 
well intel probably has more money to lavish on such promotions though😛 the board seems kinda neat...if it weren't gonna be priced intel style... in other words stuff u wouldn't mind as standard issue, but wouldn't go out of ur way to pay extra for... seriously, they'd be better off promoting such a board with a famous pr0n star.

MAN what is with you AMD losers 10 FPS don't mean jack and another thing i only read about it I don't see it . My P4 3.2 Scores 5900+ in PCmark O5 @ stock speed there are a lot of AMD 64's sucking hindtit and there are a few that are faster.But there are way more that are slower alot more. And intel is the fastest today yesterday it was AMD tomorrow who knows!!! and this is a gaming bench mark !!! Some body on line did a review and said that amd was faster in all those reviews my P4 outperforms those reviewed CPU's so let it go there both really nice cpu's But u AMD people just push and you can't back it up . Go to future mark orb and see in real world testing who is NO1

I don't think anyone was saying it's a slow platform, just that if you're gonna try to build "The ultimate gaming platform", AMD is it right now, AMD is without a doubt faster than Intel when it comes to gaming right now.
 
YOU know something here's something I never checked out but is X-BOX faster in gaming than PC's frame rate wise I don 't know. Does anyone know the ans. I understand that X-box 2 well play games faster than any PC so that being the case you can have a P4 to do real world work which it does better than AMD and u can buy an Xbox to play online with. AND you can take that AMD processor and use it for a boat anker when your not using xbox to play your games

you guys need to see the ESPN video interview on his website. Its so funny. I think he's a cornball but hey I give him credit for turning a useless hobby into a career. I dont see anyone here getting a licensing contract for thier hobbies. For that I say good for him. For being full of himself I just laugh and hope I can give him an atomic wedgie to remind him of his life before winning some game tournament. As for the hardware, looks like a good motherboard. I just wouldnt buy it because it's just way too cool for me. I like designer clothes and cars, not designer internal computer parts.

btw to my knowledge, in many asian countries, especially korea, professional gaming is a big market that just keeps getting bigger.
