Fatal Error (ughhhhhhh)

fatal (ughhhh) error
Im working on a 2.4 gig dell that starts to boot >goes splash screen>then blue screen:
STOP: c000021a (fatal system error)
The windows log on process system terminated unexpectly with a status of 0x0000005 ( 0x00000000 0x00000000
The system has been shut down.Im not sure what else I can do other than wipe the drive and reinstall,..this thing wont boot at all...
I tried the repair function ... no help.
Any ideas?

If the repair fails, there is nothing left. FORMAT!!! WOOOO!!!

Also, if you get real bored you can run the Dell Diagnostics, maybe you have a hardware problem.

that is sorta what I thought,I know I can slave the drive and hopefully remove any needed files,I tried that earlier and I could access the disk

This just happened to me the other day. I switched the power supply off, pulled the power cable out of it, let it sit for a while, reversed the steps and powered it on OK. Everything seems to be back to normal except some weird email issues. I was pretty surprised when I couldn't even get into safe mode.
