I wanted to know if this would work. I have a hard drive which is formatted to fat32(storage). I'm planning on buying another hard drive (faster) and installing winxp with the ntfs format. Would the hard drive with ntfs be able to access the hard drive with the fat32 format in winxp (transfering files from one another)?

Yes it would be able to rewad the FAT32 drive perfectly fine. It's the Operating System that influences what file systems can be read, the type of fiule system used on the boot partition doesn not matter.
WinXP fully supports both FAT32 and NTFS and will be able to read from either drive perfectly fine.

BTW- This post is likely going to be locked, as it belongs in the Operating Systems forum.
