What is the maximum capacity of a partition in FAT32, I read that it was 32GB, but have also heard it was 2TB

I see where I got the idea that it was 32GB, in win2k, it will only allow FAT32 partitions of 32GB.

Thanks for your help.

The maximum size of partitions on FAT32 is 2TB. The maximum drive capacity on FAT32 is also 2TB.

CovertCow, what do you mean when you say that Win2k will only allow 32GB FAT32 partitions? I'm running a 75GB FAT32 partition right now in Win2k(even though huge clusters, BTW).

You can bypass the W2k limit by creating the fat32 partition with fdisk, or upgrading from W98.
