From that video there appears to be 1 fat cop. That would be singular, not plural. Second, they did catch the dog.

You might want to consider hiring a professional to name your threads going forward. Your ability to do so seems lacking.

That dumb dog only made me angry. Or maybe it's more accurate to say I was pissed that the stupid owner never bothered to train her fashion accessory pet to come when it's called. I don't really wish the animal any harm, but I found part of myself hoping the dog would get splattered across the highway just so it's self-absorbed owner could face the cold hard consequence of failing to raise the dog properly.

My sister has a little dog, and while it's a sweet animal, it isn't trained for shit. It's a spoiled, needy little attention whore. Whenever it gets out it just runs around the neighborhood while my sister chases after it screaming its name over and over. So stupid and irresponsible.

Yeah it's late and I'm pissy. CSB, and all that...

From the looks of it the dog escaped after the owner's car turned over. The dog was banged around then is suddenly in a situation it doesn't understand and is being chased by strangers. Even a well trained dog is probably going to freak out and bolt.

I am surprised they didn't shoot the dog because it showed aggressive behavior. I guess highway cops are a bit cooler than SWAT cops.

They shut down traffic for that?

Yes and they should. Why? Just suppose a car, truck, or god forbid Tractor and Trailer swerves to miss hitting the dog. You could potentially put lives in danger by not slowing traffic and getting the dog off the highway. They did the right thing and a good job.

This is what I gathered from the video, the only time that I watched it:

traffic was stopped because of an accident--there are two groups of people standing near their wrecked cars--one of them is a big pile of junk metal. The dog was probably in one of those cars, and is completely freaked by the accident. ran out of a car and took off. I think it's panicked and is in full-fledged flight response.

Hell, one of my buddies did this after we were in a rather nasty accident on the expressway late one night. we were sitting along the dividing wall as fire and EMT arrived, but traffic hadn't been stopped or controlled at that point. suddenly, some drunk driver slammed into the dividing wall, about 2 feet from where we were sitting. Had I not pulled my legs in as I saw that car careening towards us, I probably would have lost them. Well, my friend lost his marbles right there and started climbing over the dividing wall and was about to sprint across the other side of the expressway. We grabbed him and pulled him down.
