Fastwrite----what is it and why does it not work for me?

i just got my new system going:
EPoX 8KTA+
Duron 700mhz
Inno3D geforce 2 MX (6.34)
128 pc-100 ram
SB Live!

after i installed the VIA 4 in 1 drivers enabling fastwrite cause the pc to crash horribly

what is fastwrite and how can i fix this problem?

My system is perfectly fine with fast-writes enabled, even in games...until I play a Real Player movie then my computer locks up hard.

Try using the Detonator 6.47. That should be able to do the trick.

sadly the 6.47's dont solve the problem

but is it really a problem? i get 75FPS in Q3 780x1024x16 demo001 test and 4033 3dmarks2000
