Fasttrak RAID card woes

I have to 60GB WD drives (new) connect to my Promis Fasttrak 100 PCI RAID controller (also new), but it say it isn't detecting any drives when I go to set up an array. I tried each hard drive separetly on my mobo's onboard controller, and each one is recognized, meaning they aren't dead. I really dumbfounded on this one! 😕

Did you load the proper driver for the Promise card? No offense, but re-read the manual/instruction sheet that came with the card. Again. It's not that the card doesn't see the drives, it's the mobo doesn't see your card.

Do you see a screen saying something like:

<< Detecting array..........
Press <Ctrl-F> to enter config
>>

after POST?

If you don't, like MichaelD said, your motherboard is not detecting your RAID card.

WD HDDs must have their jumpers set to "Single" or "Neutral" when using each on their own channel with no slave drive present. If you have your jumpers set to "master" they wont be detected.
